LET'S TALK ABOUT: Carbon Credits and Engaging Youth

Time: 10:15 - 11:45

Location: The Fab

An informal panel discussion between esteemed professionals and academics from diverse backgrounds on strategies for engaging youth in carbon credit systems.

This event will be led by Miklós Veszprémi, currently working at the BCG and is a World Economic Forum Fellow in the Center for Nature and Climate. He will guide our two panelists: Jean-Pierre Reymond, a Swiss career diplomat who is focusing on innovative forms of fostering climate action, and Nathan Sussman, professor of IHEID, director of Centre for Finance and Development, and Co-director of the MA In Sustainable Finance and Development.

Waste Management Innovation Challenge (with the EC)

Time: 12:00 - 14:00

A team of GIIA board members and our student peers at the Environmental Committee are running this challenge together.

Investing 101: An Accessible Introduction to Investing

Time: 16:00 - 17:00

Location: S8

This event is a workshop to introduce students to investing, and directly show how they can get started themselves. We also wish to provide the right tools to keep track of passive investments or to conduct basic technical analysis.

This interactive workshop will be run by Hugo de Mello, an economist currently pursuing a master's degree in International Economics at IHEID, who has previously worked at the Brazilian Development Bank, in private banking, and fintech.
