The visit is intended to complement students’ studies in international relations and diplomacy at the Geneva Graduate Institute by providing a practical perspective on the work of a Permanent Mission. Through this visit to the U.S. Mission, we hope students will have the opportunity to connect concepts discussed in their coursework with the day-to-day realities of diplomatic work, including how states engage with international organisations and other actors in Geneva. This will allow students to gain a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities of diplomats, as well as the contribution of the U.S. Mission to the global governance landscape in Geneva.
