Welcome Session: Feminist Feast - A Research Colloquium

  • S11, IHEID 2 Chemin Eugène-Rigot Genève, Genève, 1202 Switzerland (map)

We invite you to our welcome lunch session of ‘Feminist Feast - A Research Colloquium‘ on 2 October, 12:15-1:30pm, in Room S11 at Maison de la Paix.

Feminist Feast is a student research colloquium at IHEID. This is a space to share, discuss, and celebrate feminist and critical scholarship happening right here in our community (and to have lunch ofc).

The colloquium aims to make student research visible, foster reflexivity, and build a community of researchers committed to feminist, intersectional, and critical perspectives. We are open to a range of critical perspectives regarding gender, race, class, coloniality, sexuality, disability, and other axes of power and invite you to share your research and insights with others!

At our welcome session, we'll have an ARP project and a seminar paper on the menu, each consisting of a 10-15 minute presentation of their research, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A and collective discussion. Bring your lunch or enjoy our snacks and drinks!

Presentation titles:

- "PLAYING WITH FIRE: Stakeholder Engagement with the Taliban and

the Human Rights Consequences", Jessie Weiss

- "Whose Security? Gender, Coloniality, and the Nuclear Order", Finja Pollen
