The Professional Development Committee

The Committee’s mandate consists of:

Advocating for the student community’s interests to the Institute Administration, with regards to career services, professional development, alumni engagement, mentorship, and any other career-related issues by:

  • Representing the student community on the aforementioned issues; and Advocating for adequate funding, staffing and services related to the professional needs of the student community. 

  • Planning and executing innovative programming, either in consultation with the Institute, the Career Services office and the Graduate Institute Alumni Association or independently, to support the Institute’s student community professional development


Board

President: Grusha Victor

Grusha Victor, pursuing a Master in International and Development Studies, specializes in Environment and Sustainability. With a background in social work and a Bachelor's in Political Science, Economics, and Mass Communication, she has experience in development projects in India. She is an advanced Yoga teacher and loves curating events. Excited to serve the student community as PDC president.

Vice President: Anthony Toscano

Anthony is pursuing a Master's in International and Development Studies with a specialization in Human Rights and Humanitarianism. With a background in finance and experience in educational projects for sustainability in Mexico, he is multilingual and enjoys team sports, travel, and cultural exploration.

Operations Director: Ann Tressa Pearlju

Ann, pursuing a Master in International and Development Studies with a focus on Conflict, Peace, and Security, brings a background in Business Administration and Public Administration to her role. With experience in global recruiting operations, she aims to bridge academia and industry, champion equal opportunities, and enjoys music, dancing, and boxing.

Communications Director: Aniruddha Venugopal

Aniruddha, pursuing a Master in International and Development Studies with a focus on Environment and Sustainability, is deeply interested in climate change's impact on global security frameworks and trade flows. He is an avid writer and geopolitical observer, passionate about exploring ideas for his blog while brewing coffee.

Career Services Liaison Coordinator: Oskar Sergiusz Kohlbrenner

Oskar, pursuing a Master's in International and Development Studies, specializes in Environment and Sustainability. With a background in environmental studies and experience in policy research and knowledge management, he is passionate about sports, culinary exploration, and maximizing students' professional potential.

Services Liason Coordinator: Yejin Stella An

Yejin is pursuing an MA in International and Developmental Studies with a specialization in Gender, Race, and Diversity. Her academic interests include women's and girls' rights in humanitarian contexts and intergovernmental discussions on gender equality.

Strategic Collaboration Coordinator: Khanh Trinh

Khanh, pursuing a Master’s in International and Development Studies, specializes in Sustainable Trade and Finance. With a background in political science and extensive experience in research and consultancy roles, he is passionate about global development.
